Actually the term they starting to use now is global climate change. It covers all bases. If it is hot in August - global warming. If it is cold in February - global warming. If it is too rainy - global warming. If it is too dry - global warming. if there are too many hurricanes - global warming. If there are no hurricanes - global warming.
