Cincinnati, OH (LifeNews.com) -- An Ohio teenager and his friend who are accused of attacking his pregnant girlfriend and killing her unborn child have been apprehended by police. Alfonso Price, a 15 year-old, allegedly attacked Kerria Anderson, 18, because she refused to have an abortion of her baby who Price fathered.
Price reportedly kicked Anderson, who was eight months pregnant, in the stomach and hit her causing her to miscarry the eight-month old unborn child.
Police caught up with Price Friday morning and he was taken into custody and charged with aggravated murder and felonious assault.
Later, Price's supposed accomplice, 17 year-old Jebrell Wright, was arrested and charged with the same crimes.
Anderson's mother, Angela Anderson, told the Cincinnati Enquirer newspaper that the teens stomped on her daughter and that shoe marks were left on her clothes and body after the attack.
Angela described her daughter as frazzled by the incident and said she didn't think Price was a violent person despite several arrests for minor crimes. Kerria Anderson had previously filed a police report for abuse but didn't follow through on it to press charges.
Anderson was standing at a bus stop on July 11 when the attack happened and Price and his friend were said to have dragged her to a building in a nearby neighborhood where he attacked her and left her.
Anderson was eventually able to contact authorities from an adjacent store but her baby, whom she planned to name Precious, wasn't able to be saved. Her skull had been fractured in the attack.
"She was just all broken up," Angela Anderson said of the baby, who also had numerous broken bones resulting from the attack.
Kerria Anderson also has a 1 year-old daughter and was slated to deliver the unborn child in late August.
Anderson's grandmother, Betty Payne, told AP that Price was the father of the baby.
"He wanted her to get an abortion because they were not together," Payne said. "He didn't want his baby raised by another man."
The case brings more attention to violence against pregnant women, especially those whose refusals to have abortions spark violent rage in their partners.
Ohio is one of 35 states that have a law protecting pregnant women and their unborn children and providing them with justice when they are injured or killed in an attack.
Some 25 of the states, including Ohio, allow prosecutors to bring forth two charges at any time during the pregnancy for death or injury to both mother and child and another 10 states only protect women and children in the latter stages of pregnancy.
We just need to understand that we are old and out of touch and they are the new generation. Do I really need a sarc tag?

Eighteen-year-old Geretha Lewis killed her newborn daughter and then claimed two women from an adoption agency took the child, Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson Jr. said Friday.
Police charged the Prichard woman with murder Friday, three days after she publicly pleaded for the infant's return.
Tyson said Lewis told police where she left the body of 1-month-old Zarial Lewis Farris, and authorities will search for the remains today in Escambia County.
He said the mother broke down and gave a statement to police Friday evening, just a couple of hours after authorities renewed their pleas for help from the community in their search.
Tyson said investigators were preparing to administer a lie detector test when she confessed to killing the child.
Before her alleged confession, Lewis told authorities that she handed over Zarial to an adoption agency, which would not return the infant when Lewis said she canged her mind.
During the days that followed the news conference where Lewis first told that story, Prichard police and FBI agents were operating under the assumption that it was true, said
Prichard Police Chief Lawrence Battiste.
"We have to investigate every lead seriously," he said. "Some are good. Some are bad."
Tyson, at a Friday night news conference announcing Lewis' arrest, said "the chief played this exactly right" by investigating the adoption angle, but "there is no credible information" that she ever contacted Agape, a Daphne faith-based agency she initially accused of stealing her baby.
How much you wanna bet this boy’s Grandma who probably raised him will be on TV talking about what a good boy he is.
I’m pretty sure we’ve agreed on a few things before! :-)
What a sewer these people live in.
“Ohio is one of 35 states that have a law protecting pregnant women and their unborn children...”
Crap!!! Laws do not and cannot protect anybody! All ‘laws’ can do is punish - after the fact, those who break them. I sincerely hope he gets stomped until his bones are broken. Let the punishment fit the crime.
I hate stories like this. I can’t even imagine the pain she must be in both physically and mentally. I hope she gets away from this life and is able to give her 1 year old more than this.
bookmark for later.
What in the heck is an 18 year old girl doing sleeping with a 15 year boy?
Kerria is a product of our society. "Screw everything with a pulse, and who cares about the babies?"
Yet another good reason for the Arabs to hate us.
How far can a report mindlessly stray from the base thruths in all of this, and that is what the hell was an 18 year old doing conceiving illegitimate children out of wedlock with a 15 year old boy in the first place??
What in the name of God is “precious” about her second illigitimate pregnacy while still in her teens??
The violence and murder in this case came well after the abandonment of any shred of moral decency or self respect in this particular community.
I'm just saying.
If I articulated even the beginning of what I would do to those inhuman scum, I’d be banned in a second.
All I can say is it wouldn’t be quick.
You have to read Theodore Dalrymple’s “Life At The Bottom”. You’d then completely understand how these losers actually cause/invite their problems.
In a snapshot - they never take any responsibility for their own actions when something bad happens.
It can get a little boring if everyone agrees on everything!
Right on!
