Belated Warm Fuzzy Wednesday/Thursday Poetry


Best Intentions





I searched all Day long for just the perfect Flower
Roaming through My Pretty One's Garden for several Sunny hours
Pawing here and sniffing there, enjoying the sweetly scented air

Until I found a bunch of Flowers whose centers are round
Kept in a crown of snowy dainty petals so gently bound
That I had to glide much over the moist loamy ground

Tasting the air which was devoid of flying Bugs and their sounds
Closing my eyes and letting my Taste Buds make the selection
For the Flowers appeared similar even after minute inspection

Until my Whiskers settled over a Flower that was better than the others
And would make a wonderful gift for my adopted Human Mother
After a few moments of digging and careful excavation

I brought my Gift Inside with a delightful feeling of elation
Until I tried to resist the temptations of the empty Big Long Chair
Content in knowing my Human Mom would eventually find me there
