I’ve been digging grass and old plants in the garden, and I have never seen the soil so wet in July. Forget using any shovel, and the digging forks are almost totally useless as well. I tried to dig the old roots and all I got was a big clump of mud.

My shoes had about 1” of mud on the bottom when I got done. I’ll have to wait for some real drying weather to finish digging, but I need to get some fresh stuff growing soon.
