Why isn’t he charged with transportation with intent to distribute?

Why would they? Do they have evidence he was dealing the drugs?

quantity...Vicodin possession is a very big no-no....not to mention the "dozens" of other prescription drugs...not to mention Xanax, Valium, Soma, Vicodin and Adderall (Adderall is speed, basically), as well as a small amount of marijuana.

They could throw the book at him...however, it's a first offense in CA so hell go off to rehab, and be given a suspended sentence.

In many cases when people have a large amount of drugs they automatically charge them with that regardless if that is there intent, simple posession of a large amount is enough. Pehaps having what he had isn’t enough.
