I don’t condone the vandalism, but I would be pissed if my neighbor purchased a vehicle that could not fit in their garage. My VW Touareg (13mpg) gets worse gas mileage than a Hummer so I say you should be able to buy any vehicle that you can afford to operate.

Then you'd be pissed at damn near every Dodge full sized truck owner that has a house with single doors. I bought the driveway for a reason and it's not to let solar heating on concrete help my lawn out.

There are plenty of SUV's, pickups and minivans built today that won't fit in yesterday's garages, not just Hummers. If you would have bought the Touareg with the smaller engine, you could save enough money to get the Porsche Cayenne you really wanted.

Then you'd hate my FIL, who has a 3 car garage that is so filled with junk that he can't fit his Hyudai Accent and Honda Civic into it.
