Reid said the Senate will stay in session all night Tuesday and into Wednesday

No problem for Hairy Reid since his oozing yeast infection was going to keep him up all night anyway. When asked about his malady the Majority Leader said, "The worst thing is that it burns so badly when I pee."

"I think that the American people deserve what we're doing and that is focusing attention every minute of the day on what is going wrong in Iraq,"

I started to underline, or highlight, or use bold, or italics; but the entire quotation is...just....so....much.....(!)

In reply,
'Yuppers!
That's just what the American People deserve.
After all, half or more of them voted you slimeballs into office.

Too bad they brainstorm all night on how best to surrender, instead of how to win.

Thank God these cretins weren’t sitting in office during World War Two.

Do you think this stunt will kill Senator Byrd?

Byrd's been dead for a while. They just been pulling a Weekend at Bernie's for the last few years.

Why couldn’t the ‘Rats use the “nuclear option” that Frist was threatening them with on the judicial appointment issues?

I’m not too versed in what it would accomplish..

The Senate is mostly about history and precedent...at least anything that goes outside of what the Constitution says. Judicial appointments are by history and precedent not filibustered. The Constitution seems to indicate that as well, although a few cretins have attempted to convince that it ALLOWS for it (but I don’t think so).

That’s why there was the possibility of going nuclear as you said. To overcome the fact that the Dems were filibustering judicial nominees...A BIG NO NO.

In this case there would be no grounds whatsoever for trying to go nuclear.

They could, actually. Frist's comments were with respect to JUST changing the rules for Presidential appointments. A change for all issues would mean that the Senate would forevermore be run by the party in the majority, a situation that both sides deeply fear.

(There's also a potential Constitutional issue, but I think it'd be a non-starter)

BFD! For what we pay then in salary and perqs and the seriousness of the issues pulling all-nighters should be a regular occurrence.

I haven’t checked CSPAN to see if this is on, but if it is — is there a LIVE THREAD for it?

So since we know that the Dems don’t give a rat’s arse for the Constitution what would stop them from changing these rules also?

They constantly misinterpret and bastardize it shamelessly.

The ability to stop legislation they don’t like when they’re in the minority is more valuable to them than the ability to prevail when they’re in the majority. For one thing, prevailing means actually having to be responsible for the outcome.

Yes, I tried to listen but chose to read Michael Yon’s newest posts instead. I’m not good at listening to the wind.
