I don’t like Noonan either. I find her pretentious, supercilious, and vindictive. She loved Bush until he turned down her offer to become a speech writer for him. She quit her job at the WSJ to offer her services and he turned her down. She has been criticizing his communication skills ever since.
I sometimes enjoyed her criticisms of Bill Clinton, but I never liked her flowery, overly wordy style of writing.
Politics aside, Noonan is a damned good writer. One of my majors was English.
How do you know this? Can you provide a link? Has she stated that the White House turned her down, and that this, aside from Bush's policies, made Noonan turn against Bush?
Right - I agree.
She has not been the same since. She also does not see the facts and just theorizes.

Do you have a link to the info about Noonan being turned down by the administration?
I don’t doubt you, I’ve thought since I read her column lambasting his second Inaugural speech she might be upset she’s not ‘in the mix’ at the Whitehouse. I’ve just never seen anyone claim thats the reason I’ve long suspected.
