He now says he doesn’t remember it,

It is amazing how many politicians are afflicted with SML -- Short Memory Loss.

If 10 to 15 years is “short” memory, I’m screwed ;-)...

You must be rooting for Hillary then.

That is a huge assumption without any foundation, expect that it reeks of Clintonian politics of personal destruction for anyone who disagrees.

Fred has not convinced me that he is the right one, but that doesn't mean I am rooting for Hillary or Obama or Daffy Duck either.

I thought his Powerline peice yesterday was a good strategy. A little preemption to nip questions about former clients in the bud. But that does not resolve the this particular issue.

That is a huge assumption without any foundation...

It's pretty obvious sarcasm.

As people get older, their ability to detect sarcasm diminishes.

This whole thing is nuts... maybe, just maybe, 16 years ago, Thompson might have provided some legal advice or assistance for one of his firms (but not his own) clients. The person being lobbied has flatly said that Thompson never lobbied him on the issue.

The work clearly had so little impact on Thompson's life that he doesn't even recall doing it. Guys like Richard Land are saying this story is a non-starter.

Seriously, if this is the best the opposition can offer, this is going to be a cakewalk for Thompson.

But you’re just a young guy. Wait until you have to start a Geritol regimen.
