Can somebody remember the name of the Washington Post reporter who railed against private ciizens owning guns, then shot someone breaking into his home? Carl Rowan.

As I remember, the person he shot wasn't someone breaking into his house but a kid that had jumped his fence to swim in his pool.

He needs to be put on trial.

Yep, and I'd convict him in a heartbeat if I sat on the jury, while springing Joe Sixpack, with the unwatered lawn, next door, for the same "offense".

Liberal Rats should be forced to live under their own policies even if they can't make 'em law.

Just returning the favor.

Horse crap son, this is Texas, someone comes on my property to steal and then attacks me with anything at all I am well within my rights to shoot them dead. And that's CODE son,

Texas Penal code, Ch 9, sub Ch D Sect 9.42: A person is justified in using deadly force against another to protect land or tangible, movable property to prevent the other's imminent commission of arson, burglary, robbery...etc.etc.etc. during the nightime... and it goes on and on about how we can cap people here in Texas.

GUNS don't kill. My current gun has been sitting on my bedside table for four years now and it hasn't killed a thing. That GUN requires ME to pull the trigger! And you're wrong about the pocket knife boy, you can get killed dead with as little as 1" of steel!

So you’re saying that the state lawmaker was correct in voting against the bill because that was already the law anyway?
