” OPINION-SPECULATION: I think it was premature. “
Just listened to the Police Presser, and, according to their ‘narrative” (which, by the bye, differs significantly from the ‘reportage’ of FNC et. al), it would appear that this was a ‘fizzle’ -
Odd that there’s not much mention - and not much speculation - re parallel/follow-on attacks....
I do know that nigthclubs and any public place where large crowds gather can be potential targets.

PING
There was this report last year:
Gang ‘planned to bomb London nightclub’
“Jawad Akbar and Omar Khyam, both members of the group - which was allegedly linked to al-Qaida - considered the Ministry of Sound, which can hold up to 1,800 people, to be an easy target.
Mr Akbar said they would not be blamed for killing innocent people at the club but “those slags dancing around”, the jury heard.”

FOX just said via the AP that there are similarities between this bomb and ones found in Iraq...
Thank God this device didn’t go off. Kudos to the brave police officers who manually defused the device.
Well, if somehow they can tie Princess Di into the story, Fox news can get Geraldo to cover this for two, maybe three weeks.
I just saw a top of building view. It is very close to Piccadilly Circus. I saw Lillywhites (sports store) and the Trocadaro
Thank you for posting the link, Eurotwit.
Reported on Fox that the devices are very similar to the ones used as IED in Iraq right now.
Thanks for the link.
It’s pretty amazing this didn’t explode..sounds as though they got it just in the nick of time.
Sounds like the new PM is being baptized by fire.
Thank goodness that ambulance crew reported that car!
Yeap, I agree, this is testing the new administration.
