The Presidents Statement - (barf alert)
FNS ^

Posted on 06/28/2007 10:31:23 AM PDT by Scythian

PRESIDENT BUSH: I thank the members of the Senate and members of my administration who worked so hard on the border security and immigration reform bill. I'm sorry the Senate was unable to reach agreement on the bill this morning.

Legal immigration is one of the top concerns of the American people, and Congress's failure to act on it is a disappointment. The American people understand the status quo is unacceptable when it comes to our immigration laws. A lot of us worked hard to see if we couldn't find common ground. It -- it didn't work. ...

I agree that the status quo is an abomination.

That gives you some idea how EVIL I thought this illegal amnesty bill was. It rewarded the illegal and punished the legal. The solution is simple: build a leak proof fence first.

Then we can talk about how many LEGAL immigrants we want to let through each year.

We can start penalizing employers of illegals. These employers only purpose is to avoid taxes, undercut American workers, and undercut American wages.

For the life of me, I can’t understand why the politicians want to steal the jobs of hard-working Americans.

Reality is history will be very kind to both R. Reagan and GWB.

Half right.

One faced down and helped to break an atheistic empire (with help from Pope John Paul II) without a shot being fired.

The other spent over 3,000 American lives and countless billions of dollars to turn Iraq into a finishing school for Islamic terrorists while Christians were being exiled and murdered.

“Status Quo” Replacing “gravitas”, “at the end of the day” and “like, you know” as the most trite and abused phrases in history.

“Status quo” as used by Bush and others in reference to the death of their precious and perverted amnesty bill for illegal aliens, translates into: “ any unacceptable condition that arises due to the deliberate failure of the US Government to enforce the laws they/it/them are being paid to enforce.”

You’re the best friend the Dems ever had. And about 100 more posters on here, too!

You seem incapable of distinguishing between a failed presidency and what was promised to be another "Reagan" revolution to restore the trust and confidence of the American people and clean up what the Clintons had left behind. Oh well, many of the Cubans love Castro too so I suppose I will have to take your comment with a grain of salt.

None are so blind as those who WILL not see!

I have supported the POTUS before and ever since his 2000 election. I was one of those in Broward County protesting, praying on our knees downtown in front of the courthouse, waving flags in Palm Beach, singing, chanting, holding our driver’s license in front of the media cameras because they were lying to folks by reporting that we were bussed in to protest.

Up until that time, I only read FR. But after those angry first freeps, I singed up here. Ever since then, I have supported this POTUS, even in the face of some of his most stupid moments.

So, Miss Muffet, all high and mighty...when this man (who has had so many conservatives give of their time resources and energy to him and his mission), flips us the finger on such a crucial matter as national security, socialistic feel-good garbage like this illegal-alien-forgiveness, welfare-for-outlaws and open-the-borders-to-everyone-we-don’t-know program, I’m gonna call it what it is.

It is crap.
He basically gave his conservative base the finger, called us racists and bigots and did everything possible to “stick it” to the US.

You go right ahead and follow blindly.

Me?
I know where I stand and your feel-good willful blindness is exemplary of what is wrong in this nation.

When its BS, I call BS.
And frankly my dear, I really don’t care what you think whatsoever!

...so there!

...but have a nice day anyway.
=)

Its good when each can have a different opinion and stick by it. I do stick by my opinion and you do too. You know they say....”Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me”. And “its great to agree to disagree.” Isn’t it? Have a good day~~~~~
