You now have guaranteed that a democratic president and congress will reap the Hispanic vote for at least a generation.

Your assumption that the majority of legal Hispanics supported this bill and favor amnesty for illegal aliens is way off base. Do you personally know any legal Hispancs? (I'm quite sure you know plenty of the illegal variety). The former harbor quite a bit of (justifiable) resentment for those who continue to skirt the law while they and their law-abiding family members jumped through all the legal hoops to get here. And I'm quite sure it hasn't passed their notice that far more Democrat than Republican senators voted for this amnesty bill. They'll always remember the Donkeys as the party that favored law-breakers over the law-abiding.

So quite the opposite from your naive and emotional assertion, the Democrat party didn't win squat today.

I think that not only didn't they win, this whole fiasco is a negative for them. A powerful coalition formed with conservatives, union members, independents and others who came together to stop an outrageous attempt to destroy their Country. I, personally, have never seen opposition to an issue as diverse as this one. And where were the Democrat presidential runners on this issue? Against the will of the American people. Bush was too, but he is not running for anything. I personally think this grass roots effort is exactly the thing Fred Thompson could, and should, tap into. Americans got excited when they felt threatened and this can be used to the advantage of anyone reading the mood of the American people.

We must keep active and we must encourage others, some who never called their Senator before this bill, to remain involved. Before November, 2008, we just might convince more than half the voters that the Democrats are dangerous to their well being and that they should vote with those who stood with them to defeat the traitorous amnesty bill.

Well, let's see what the makeup of the Congress and Executive branches looks like say...in 2008 and 2010.

And Mr. Mojo...it's you that appears naive and emotional...if you think "...They'll always remember the Donkeys as the party that favored law-breakers over the law-abiding."
