Here we are again my friends, hopefully for the last debate thread on this particular monstrous legislation. Proceedings are supposed to begin at 9:30 a.m. EST, with the cloture vote being taken at 10:30 a.m.
On a personal note, you've all been wonderful in your passion, vigilance, and commitment to the principles on which our country was founded. If I have to be in a foxhole, I want to be in it with you guys.

I am sure that you are correct in stating that they are working on other ways to achieve the pulse but I am unaware of them.

I can GUARANTEE you that USCIS will crash and burn and become totally non-functional with even 1/2 of the expected 12 to 20 million Z Visa applications.
Every person in Capitol Hill knows this. USCIS/INS has been a thorn in their side ("the worst agency in the federal government") for at least two decades. And so it remains.
I jsut heard the same thing from Dung Heap. If he’s voting NO, this thing is going down, big time.
I’m willing to bet more than a few senators thought the same thing.

Roll call has started. Brownback vote aye (for cloture and for amnesty.) I’ve gotten two funds appeals from him recently because I’m on pro-life mailing lists. I’ve ignored them because I knew he was pro-amnesty. If I get another one, I’ll send it back and let him know what I really think of him.
