Congratulations Tom. I hope everyone goes to TomDeLay.com to congratulate him on this fantastic victory. Let him know that the Freepers are still pulling for him.

That’s the best news I’ve heard all day. Gives me hope that justice does, in fact, prevail.

Now where does he go to get his reputation and his House seat back? Somebody really needs to do something about Ronnie Earl.

Pyhrric victory, though, IMO. Ronnie Earle and his Dem cohorts already got what they wanted—Tom Delay out of Congress.

His fellow re-pubs threw him under the bus for this phony indictment, while the rats circle around their own who are clearly guilty like Ice Box jefferson.

Is he in the clear, then? Or are there still other charges?

But justice did not prevail, it merely ended the injustice.
Injustice was committed.
To: GulfBreeze
It won’t happen, but Ronnie Earle should be disbarred. Good news for DeLay anyway!
To: rightwingintelligentsia
That’s right. He was one of the most effective House conservatives we had going and Ronnie Earl, playing dirty, took him down.

I just wish Delay would have stayed in the election. It is a shame that this type of BS goes on. The real corruption is with the Democrats.
To: rightwingintelligentsia
Ronnie Earle and his Dem cohorts already got what they wantedTom Delay out of Congress. Exactly. That was the point all along.

He still faces money laundering charges but now he can get to the trial he has been asking for all along.
To: zendari
There’s still a money laundering charge, I believe.

It was truely disgusting, and why I give to the limit to certain Republican candidates, but nary a half-pence to the Republican Party; it disgusts me only marginally less than the Dim Party.

Ronnie Earle may think this case is about campaign finance, but in the end it will be a case about his own prosecutorial misconduct. Sounds like hammer time!

You said it and it bears repeating:
“His fellow re-pubs threw him under the bus for this phony indictment, while the rats circle around their own who are clearly guilty like Ice Box jefferson.”
How about Delay for President? He would have my vote.
