You do know that you just implied that everyone who has a problem with illegal immigration is a bigot, right??? This has nothing to do with skin color, or national origin (there are MANY illegal immigrants here from places other than Mexico). My sister is half-Mexican, and all of the LEGAL Mexican immigrants I worked with are against this bill, too. Stop painting this as some racist issue, when it most clearly is not.
The Mexican illegal immigrants are just the most widely represented due to proximity, and due to their own actions (i.e. “A Day without Illegals” protest, and their carrying of Mexican Flags, etc....). So, it is really no wonder that people are fixated on Mexican Illegal Immigrants.
As far as the Teachers’ Unions, and the Trial Lawyers. You forget about the millions of taxpayer dollars that go to finance public school educations for the children of illegal immigrants (including those who are NOT so-called anchor babies). You also forget that it is much easier for minorities to get admission to college based upon the unconstitutional affirmative action laws — and many of these students are ILLEGAL aliens who are taking spots that should be going to CITIZENS of any ‘race’ first.
You also forget the MILLIONS of dollars in bills at emergency rooms around the country for illegal immigrants who use these facilites for their reg. medical care, and then the taxpayers, and others who use these services are caught holding the bag. (You don’t think the Falsified ID is used JUST for getting jobs, do you???).
To blame the teacher’s unions, and trial lawyers for healthcare and education costs ignores half of the picture, especially in areas where there is an extremely large illegal alien population.
So it's the toilet cleaners fault and not the teacher unions or trial lawyers fault.
A question, which would solve the health and education mess better, getting rid of people who are greatful to do menial jobs, or those who sponge off the system such as teacher unions and trial lawyers.
And BTW, there is an ethnic component to this, since the teacher unions and trial lawyers are what I would consider your preferred skin hue, while the immigrants are not.
