I despise Gore/Kerry but, frankly, they would be -- at least at this point -- doing us less dammage.
The WORST thing is to have a traitor or a moron in charge of YOUR OWN house.

Congratulations. In a growing line of Bush Derangement Syndrome infected posts on this thread, yours shows perhaps the most delusion so far.

No Dem president could convert us to MexAmerica. Without WH pressure, the Republicans would be united and could easily kill this thing in the senate, even with a minority. The republicans couldn't be united when they had both the majority AND a GOP president, but you think they would be united against a dem president pushing this. In case you haven't noticed, the pubbies going along with this kennedy bill are the pubbies that have opposed W on almost everything else. The WH pressure is not influencing the GOP senators that are supporting this bill and they would not be standing up against it if a dem were in the WH.

Yours is a post worthy of Cindy Sheehan.

Yours is a post worthy of Cindy Sheehan.

Not a pretty comparison, but, nonetheless, I bear you no ill will.

Recognizing that you have been betrayed by someone in whom you had invested so much hope and loyalty and support is a painful journey.

It is a bit like a mother-in-law who must painfully accept the evidence that her son-in-law has murdered her daughter. Or maybe a wife who wants to deny evidence that her husband is molesting his stepchild.

It is a long painful journey from loyalty to reality when faced with profound and heartbreaking betrayal. We all travel it at our own speed. I wish you well.
