Eventually, the stupidity will reach critical mass, and then we'll be in trouble.

Your tagline ... makes an excellent point, hence why I’m totally opposed to any “reform” these elitists pass.

Just tonight, my local news interviewed one of these “in the shadows” illegals, trying to tug at our heartstrings about how she works, pays her taxes, blah, blah, blah! My heart neither bleeds nor my eyes water for these criminals. They pay taxes? With how many forged documents? This particular woman has two kids (they weren’t born here) and she barely spoke English. She claimed that she would accept whatever Congress decides. Yeah, right. And then when they interviewed her daughter, the kid wondered why people didn’t want them here when all they wanted was a better life. Wow. I wonder if enough Americans decided that we wanted Mexico’s oil to “better our lives”, would they allow us to stay and do that? Somehow, I doubt it.

I grew up in and around NYC and have spent most of the rest of my time in the South and in Tx via the military and I appreciate the opportunity to say, Well fiddle effin dee dee.
Thanks, Mamzelle, for THE most fitting statement to this entire fiasco.

“I’m not sure Southerners think of Texas as part of the South”.
I don’t know about that but the vast majority of Texans think they are part of the South. Politically and culturaly Texas is Southern. Go from Texas into New Mexico and you can hear and feel the difference. Besides, true Southwestern Mexican food sucks. It can’t hold a candle to Tex-Mex!

I’ve lurked for years and watched and waited. Yes, I voted for him twice (lesser of two evils I suppose). My fear of being banned or flamed was overwhelming and I began posting only recently. I post now out of fear for my Country. Never, ever, in my wildest dreams would I believe that my country was being taken over. I truly believed that truth, justice and the rule of law would prevail. No more. The neo-cons rule and it’s only a matter of time before the Constitution and Bill of Rights we hold so dear slowly fade away.

From the gitgo Bush has loved the Kennedys. He named FBI building after RFK, gave Teddy an award at Texas A & M, and let Teddy writed the education and immigration bills.

You know why? They are from the same class—New England elite. Teddy from MA, Bush from CT.

They do disdain the middle class, but love the riff raff they can lord over. Disgusting PIGS!!!

Thats cause in most native Texans' minds, even those in the South are technically "Yankees" since we were our own country for 10 years.

I would love for those Southerners who think Texans didnt have a part in Southern history explain that to the decendants of Jane Long. Her g-g-grandson proudly decorated the family home in Confederate memorabilia and was a proud member of the Sons of the Confederacy when he was still alive. Also, look up the Jaybird-Woodpecker War. IF you came to Richmond, you would find a distinctly SOUTHERN attitude and atmosphere. Our mayor is your old-style Democrat and God bless him, if he lives till this time next year, will be this nations longest-running mayor. Id like to see those who say Texas isnt part of the South say THAT to Hilmar Moore!!

And the laws designed to fight "terror" could be used against New World Order dissidents. What if we oppose the Bush's North American Union or Free Trade of the Americas? We are then terrorists and sent to the concentration camps. Jorge is not serious about terror or else he would not legalize 30-50 million illegals (I don't believe the 12-15 million; some of which no doubt are terrorists in the midst).

Jorge is following orders from the NWO elites to turn USA into a Third World country. Only then will the American people be compliant in accepting the North American Union. We'll look like Mexico North in no time, so what's the difference if we merge with Mexico.

Can’t belive he is trying to push this down our throats. It’s outrageous. Hope he enjoyed the love his base had for him. I think it is gone now. I know ours is for sure. Fool me once..shame on you. Fool me twice..shame on me. I forget who said that but...whomever it was was a wise person.

“Very perceptive.”

Not.

Okay ... you have a right to your opinion.

And the dynamic of the Elites verses Middle-class Conservatives is exactly like the plantation owner and his nearest inelegant neighbors...White Trash. Scots-Irish subsistence farmers couldn’t afford to the leisured fineries of the Planter Class because they were trying to eke out an existence in competition with the institution of slavery.

The paragraph above is an accurate portrayal of the situation a business owner who refuses to hire illegals finds himself in while trying to compete with the dishonest ones who do hire them. I think that's pretty perceptive, myself.

I think an America First type party that gets us out of the immigration bussiness as well as out of the nation building bussiness would work.

West Texas, where Bush spent his childhood and his time in the oil field, is very West. Midland is about 400 miles west of anywhere in East Texas, which is as southern as Louisiana or Arkansas. It is halfway between El Paso and Fort Worth, the town that adverti ses itself as the place “where the West begins. However, I never have figured out where he gets his accent. He certainly doesn’t sound much like Rick Perry, who is a long-long West Texan.

George Bush once said, “I’m not a southerner, I’m a southwesterner.”...and after dissing conservatives during one of his campaigns he once said "first you slug the dog, then when it comes back you pet the dog" - but this time it looks like the dog ain't acoming back......

Bush needs to start going to meetings, his behavior lately is what we alkies call a “dry drunk”.

1. Grandiosity, put very simply, is an exaggeration of one’s own importance. This can be demonstrated either in terms of one’s strengths or weaknesses. In either case it is blatantly self- seeking or self-serving, putting oneself at the center of attention, from the “big me” who has all the answers to the “poor me” whose cup of self-pity runneth over and wants all of our attention.

2. Judgmentalism is mutually related to grandiosity. It means that the alcoholic is prone to make value judgments - strikingly inappropriate evaluations - usually in terms of “goodness” or “badness”.

3. Intolerance leaves no room for delaying the gratification of personal desires. This is accomplished by gross confusion of priorities with the result that a mere whim or passing fancy is mistakenly given more importance than genuine personal needs.

4. Impulsivity is the result of intolerance or the lack of ability to delay gratification of personal desires. Impulsivity describes behavior which is heedless of the ultimate consequence for self or others.

5. Indecisiveness is related to impulsitivity in the sense that while the latter takes no realistic account of the consequences of the actions, the former precludes effective action altogether. Indecisiveness stems from an unrealistic exaggeration of the negative possibilities of the action ; so one wavers between two or more possible courses of action, more times than not- nothing gets done.
