Hubby went to WalMart in Pennsylvania today. At the main entrance is a Gardasil booth handing out pamphlets. There was a line of parents so Hubby started a rant. He asked the woman why not just teach your daughters to keep their knickers on? Her answer was because they won't. Hubby responded that our daughter is in her 20's and still a virgin. She responded that daughters lie. He offered to let our "female tiger" talk to her.
At that point the woman asked if he was on his cellphone. He said "Yes" And how about this not being tested on 9 to 11 yr olds, your target group" She responded that it's been tested on 12 year olds. He said "You have no idea what the longterm affects of this drug are on reproduction"
At that point she didn't want to spar anymore and said "It's safe". But by then Hubby had already planted doubts and the parents in line had heard it all. I LOVE Hubby.
Anyone else need to visit a WalMart today?

Men lie about their previous partners. Sadly, women get raped. The HPV virus cares not whether or not those it infects are sluts or not. Yup. Women should live in fear and use an unsafe, unproven vaccine to protect them from what MIGHT be! /sarc

I’m sorry to step in here, but, you really don’t know what you’re talking about.
Your example is apples and oranges, and you know it. It’s nice to see that virtually calling someone a “Muslim radical” is what you’ve decided to add to the discussion though, as now me and everyone else knows not to take your posts seriously. Thanks.

You are correct. I do apologize for attributing that comment to you. You were merely “his kindred spirit.”

Sorry but this isn’t a religion thread. If you want to fight or harass, you’re out of luck.

Excellent points. Youre about to get flamed to death.
That's fine. I'm both a Christian conservative (somewhere to the right of all the Republicans running for president combined) and a Doctor. Neither truth need be sacrificed in this debate. Unfortunately I see a lot of people with an agenda putting their kids at unnecessary risk. They should have the freedom to make that choice regarding the HPV vaccine. But spreading half-truths and outright lies about the thing based on WND and Judicial Watch articles is wrong.
If anyone would like to come up with a comprehensive, scientifically valid criticism of the vaccine, give it your best shot: http://www.pubmed.com

I don’t understand the weird posts about religion. This thread is about an unproven drug being pushed in WalMart. Unbelivable reaction!

It is your position that only a doctor can have an opinion about a drug??? Where does that argument end? Sounds like HillaryCare is for you...

Some people just have knee-jerk reactions without posting the article.

Some people just have knee-jerk reactions without posting the article. I guess so! I read about this a couple months back when Merck was trying to get Texas to make Gardasil mandatory. I read quite a bit. It was scary that Merck was lying and trying to beat a competitor to the market without proper testing.

I had read that the homosexual community is interested in this vaccine. Multiple partners seems to increase the spread dramatically in both women and men.

I love your hubby, too. Tell him thanks.

Texas’ idiot governor got chewed out by his own legislature for that, and he needed it, too.

Yes he did. And I was afraid if he succeeded, it would be pushed elsewhere. Glad it failed. Which explains their presence in WalMart.

What if she gets HPV from her husband? Depends on how much of the hype that you believe. The last thing that I read a few months back was some idiot statement like "80% of women over 50 have the virus and don't know it". WHAT? Then how do THEY know these women have it?!

What if she gets HPV from her husband? Then she should get regular Pap smears and have prompt follow-up treatment if she has even the slightest irregular result.
What kind of answer did you expect? This is just common sense.
