“If both Gregory and Mitchell had known, given what Russert had said was the policy of his team, Russert's testimony would have been discredited.”

And one asks... why did Armitage stay silent? Was he just a self-serving coward... or the keystone of a scam?

The more I think about this whole case the madder I get. NBC was so intimately involved in the whole matter, from Fat Dim, to Mrs. Greenspan, to the spitter and the crybaby (David Gregory). Everything revolves around NBC. Is there any doubtin anyone’s mind that NBC was working hand in glove with the DNC to derail President Bush, the WOT, in order to elect the man that Mr. Wilson and his gal-pal-val super-duper spy wife were working for — one JeffinKerry?

A political witch hunt, organized by the DNC, supported by NBC that resulted in a good man, one who served the public interest, being slandered, railroaded, and potentially sent to prison (although I’m sure that the President will intervene when/if required to ensure Libby doesn’t do the time for a non-crime).

This whole matter should be resolved by the courts; Libby should be told he doesn’t have to go to jail, and the verdict should be overturned on appeal.

And just where/why is Mr. Armitage so silent? That man is a coward.

He stayed silent because Fitz told him to stay silent! Fitz' job depended on Armitage remaining silent. Fitz' loses his "job" as soon as the leaker is found out to be someone other than Libby or Rove (or some other Admin. favorite). Fitz and the press (and the Dems) didn't want to prosecute Armitage!
