They have said that, months ago. They also said that the act of hiring a stripper, while stupid, did not indicate that they raped anyone.

However, that is not at all what this case is about and should hardly be held over the Duke players heads anymore. In fact, they have paid more for that stupid act that anyone I can think of and much more then is warranted for their actions.

Sorry, but they’ve been through enough without me making some sort of moral opinion of their actions considering the hell Nifong, the Black Panthers, people in Durham and the police have put them through.

Wait a minute....

I’ve been following this case closely and NEVER have I heard one word uttered that it was a dumb thing to do to hire strippers. Of course I could have missed it but I’m doubting you. Forgive me.

And of course it doesn’t mean they raped anyone. That’s beside any point I’m trying to make.

You know, I just don’t get it. The original poster said he (or she) would be proud of Seligman was his or her boy. Well how proud can you be of a kid that was involved with hiring strippers, yay specifically requesting BLACK strippers? I’d be embarrassed beyond tears because it’s demeaning to women. Men just hate for women to point this out because like liberals they want to keep on doing stuff that makes them feel good and not be called on it.

My mission, and I’m not letting up oh no I’m not, is to keep pointing out that this demeaning of women should not be treated as a “boys will be boys” thing because it’s not. And again, I ask, how would you feel if your sister, daughter or mother showed up to give the show? And no, it’s not beside the point of this case. It’s EXACTLY the sort of circumstance where this learning point can be made.

But this does not mean that I didn’t think that Seligman’s testimony today wasn’t shattering. This young man’s whole life was devistated. I don’t know how Nifong could sit there and listen. I’d have felt like two cents, ruining a young life like Nifong did, all for his own gain. But then I have a very well-developed sense of guilt. Heh. Which is why I don’t get how come those boys and all who do such a thing don’t feel guilty for using women like this.

And further, if just one of those boys would come out with how this objectification of women can lead to unintended circumstances, hey they could sell their story and have a best seller. I haven’t heard either any boy or their parents mention the wrongness in hiring strippers to come to a private party when hey, those boys were supposed to be in SCHOOL.
