I think it’s important that the NC Bar states that these three men are and always were innocent of the charges levied against them. Glad they are making that point clear.

Now speaking to the declaration of the accused “innocence” as the only good thing that may have come out of this situation.
Declaration of actual innocence....better than a “not guilty” from a trial jury. The NC AG’s office did the best they could with a rogue DA (who by the way is not rogue-—there are hundreds like Nifong all across America).
Nifolg looks like he got caught having sex with the preachers wife.
He just confirmed that the power of the prosecutor was abused here-—out of self interest and self deception. So much so that he lost sight of the path of justice.
If Nifong had been smart, he would have surrendered his license when he withdrew from the case. He would not have had to go before this Board and the testimony would not be “on the record”.
I’d love to know how this Judge thinks Duke is a victim in this?
Wasn’t it 88 Duke Professors who signed a letter finding these men guilty before any trial (or investigation for that matter) took place?
Isn’t it Duke who allowed the Black Panthers free reign on their campus to harrass and make death threats against the players and others?
Isn’t it Duke who fired a Lacrosse coach and held him responsible for a rape that never took place?

...more like a dead child. When you look at him you almost begin to feel sorry for him and the career he has ruined because of his poor choices, but then I see the families and those boys and just think he should go straight to hell.
