So, I am not supposed to want to be heard?

I am supposed to want to be considered a whiner?

I have serious reservations about the immigration bill as I have stated above - I am upset with the president as I have stated above.

On this thread many may be intelligent but they are not coming across as intelligent - they are coming across as out-of-control radicals. Not all, maybe not you but you know the tone of many of these posts. Are you proud that they manage to demean the site into only a ranting place?

But, just ignore me. Nobody is listening to my fussing anyway. Maybe we should just enjoy the place to blow off steam. But, I kinda thought that maybe some people with actual power would come to FR and gather the views of conservatives on issues. Call me naive.

YOU SAID...”But, I kinda thought that maybe some people with actual power would come to FR and gather the views of conservatives on issues. Call me naive.”

I think that people realize that they are being deceived...manipulated...conned...and the worst of all...talked down to.

I think the sense of anger and betrayal is visceral.

People have concluded that the approach here is not honest...it is not an honest debate.

Every time I have seen people square off on this issue on the MSM or on alternate media..the bills proponents get hammered..yet they come off as arrogant, and strangely unfazed by the fact that they have no valid arguments to counter the Robert Rectors, the Jeff Sessions, the Kris Kobachs, the Laura Ingrahams, the Michelle Malkins, the Ann Coulters...etc....

Everyone has finite patience, when dealing with people who are not giving an honest debate.

Have you written or called your congresscritters? Have you written letters to the editor of your local paper? FR is just one voice in the blogosphere (and no, technically, FR is not a blog). I blog at many of the most popular right-wing websites. I specifically registered at the ones that I know get media review or that members of the “traditional” media also belong to so I make sure my voice is heard. You may want to consider doing the same.

And don’t forget one very important thing, just like one may speak to family members differently than in public, to many at FR, we are a kind of a family where we have a tendency to kick our shoes off and be less formal. Sometimes that makes it a rough and tumble place and sometimes it’s just home.
