All I am saying is that you do not get listened to when you sound irrational, you sound out of control, you sound like a good ole boy boasting of how much he hates the president.

You get listened to when you state your views concisely, clearly so that they come across as well thought out opinions from a thoughtful American.

No politician will waste time giving a person a forum to throw around big ole macho rantings. That is just blowing off steam and solves nothing.

Look back at the posts that make you respect the poster. Generally they are the ones full of facts to support their opinions, explained carefully. These are the ones that are noted - the others are just fodder.

Same with ones comments in a work environment. How do you talk to your supervisor? You state your views professionally if you want to be deemed credible. They will be thrown in the trash once the rhetoric turns to insults, rantings, trash language. Facts are facts.

I saw this for a fact years, years ago with the writings of a person upset over an appraisal - all rantings, rage filled messages were immediately discarded and ignored as a person out of control.

Did you read the posts on this thread? There is a lot of sound advice and very little ranting or irrational posting. This President and some leaders in the Senate led by Lott refuse to allow Sen Inhofe’s bill ENFORCE to get a hearing in Judiciary. Why? They keep asking if there is a better bill and there is — Sen Inhofe’s bill.

Senator Jeff Sessions has already found 20 loopholes in the bill so we are supposed to keep quiet about that too? Senators Inhofe and Sessions are leading the charge against this bill but we are to quietly go away so Pres Bush can have his way. Not this time!

A majority of the posters on this thread are also on the Bush ping list from 2004 so they are not anti-Bush types — they are American citizens expressing their dislike for a bill that three of my favorite Senators Inhofe, Coburn, and Sessions are against because they understand the ramifications if this is passed. You do realize that the passage of this bill would make our borders less secure?

This is not the time for Bush cheerleading but for every American to stand up and say NO! Enforce the laws on the books, build the fence, and identify every last illegal no matter where they came from and that includes students here on expired visas. This Country has too much at stake for anyone to blindly support this Immigration bill without knowing the details.

The person from the WH that posted this is hitting all the main blogs with the same information and not returning to answer questions. Why? I don’t like spin coming from any elected official. If you are going to post, you should be willing to answer the questions.

I understand precisely what you are saying. The problem is that the intelligent views of polite constituents have been totally disregarded. Look at how Tom Tancredo has been marginalized by his own party. Anger is somewhat justified in this case, especially considering the fact that those whose views are being listened to and who are evidently more highly regarded are those of organizations like LaRaza and the loudmouth leftists who incite them.

The administration, just like Geraldo (who got nicely slapped down by Michelle Malkin on O’Reilly tonight), have tried to make this a racial issue. Why? Because they thought it would make us cower and back off.

The bill’s passage may be imminent. The nice talk, the discussions have not worked. And the reason they haven’t worked is not because of us. It is because the government has not done its job and has not earned our trust. And it is the fact that the administration is so he!! bent on ramming it through that is causing so much anger.

If they had, there would be no need for any discussion now. If they want to get the wall built and enforce laws currently on the books and the American people can see the proof, then we could get back to a more civil discussion about what to do with the illegals who are here.

I say, President Bush, scrap this bill and prove to the American people you will do what you promised them you would do. Then we’ll talk.

You mentioned you worked with a church benevolent group and had illegals coming in? Did I understand that correctly? I am a Catholic and I completely disagree with those of my denomination who provide sanctuary. Is your group providing sanctuary?
