Farewell, old friend. We never met in person, but I felt I knew you well. We served in Southeast Asia about the same time and you adopted my branch of service, the Coast Guard, and continued to serve our country and its people until the end.

Thank you for the link for Mr. Tonkin’s home page. It is the most unbelieveable record of one man’s life I have ever seen! Whenever did he find the time to put all this together, much less live it all? It seems to me a person would have to be about 100 to even accomplish half of it!
A truly amazing man. When I read his posts I often thought I should check out his home page. It was an honor to be able to read about his extraordinary life.
I remember when he told us he would not be posting any more. I know that he was surrounded with prayers.
You will be sorely missed, Mr. Tonkin.
