It won't actually effect criminals because they buy their guns on the black market, and black market dealers don't care about these laws.

So if they want to go out and buy a bunch of guns it's still no problem.

What about collectors? Suppose I find a once-in-a-lifetime deal on a large collection? Gun-banners are devoid of logic.

GUN RATIONING? Do they limit newspapers to once a month? How about movies? Maybe elections?

Now, just try to tell us that those in the pic weren’t picked for “diversity”... :)

Do you need to buy more than one gun per month?

No diversity selection criterion applied. Here's two more just for grins from UCSB and Westmont College (at Winchester Canyon Gun Club, that is).

You may not remember but I watched back in the late 60's/early 70's when these do-gooders decided that it wasn't unreasonable to ask that "airline passengers not smoke on short domestic flights of less than 45 minutes" or something like that? That didn't seem too bad at the time did it?

Now I believe that in some places these same ashholes have got it so it's against the law to smoke in your own house.

Bullchit on this noise. Anytime the government or one of these feel-good agencies tells you something isn't unreasonable, grab your ankles and BOHICA!

"I personally can see no reason why anyone would... buy guns in multiples," said Quigley, D-Hudson.

And I personally don't see why any one would elect you, Dimwit...

Yes, you are reasonable about the Second Amendment. I once enjoyed being able to buy multiples guns I wanted but that is a luxury lost to retirement. I was alarmed to talk to a friend that talked to an ATF official that said he could get a list of anyones gun purchases on the puter in seconds. I thought that information was to be destroyed and not recorded. Sounds like we may have been fooled although I can see how they can do it with pistols.
Stay reasonable and on target eh.

Do you need to buy more than one gun per month?

Do you need more than one hour of internet access per day?

Yeah. Lot’s of young ladies. Of course, the smart girls go where the guys are, rather than spending Saturday night at home washing their hair, wondering when they’re going to get asked out for a date. ;>)

Both groups have terrific kids - smart, focused and capable. The only downside to this gig, is that you occasionally run into what I call “naturals.” They can be depressing. Like the kid who shot 23 out of 25 in trap, the very first time he picked up a shotgun. Of course it was from the 16 yard line, but jeez. I’ve only shot that once in my life, and I’ve been working on my trap shooting on and off for the last 10 years. Oh well. Its a really good time and I am happy to spend some of my weekends advising. And it pisses off the DemocRATs.

NJ Assembly Votes to Limit Handgun Purchases

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - June 11, 2007 - New Jersey moved closer on Monday to becoming the fourth state to prohibit people from buying more than one handgun a month when the Assembly voted 51-25 to impose the proposed limit.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Assemblywoman Joan Quigley, a bill sponsor, represents Jersey City, which last year adopted its own law making it illegal to buy more than one handgun per month. That measure was struck down by a judge who ruled the local law pre-empted state authority.

"I personally can see no reason why anyone would want to go out and buy guns in multiples," said Quigley, D-Hudson.

Jersey City's mayor, Jerramiah T. Healy, is among those pushing for the state law, which would exempt law enforcement agencies and officers purchasing handguns for law enforcement use. Certain gun collectors also would be exempted.

The Senate has not considered the bill, but if the measure is approved, New Jersey would join Virginia, Maryland and California as states that restrict people to buying one handgun per month. California was the last state to adopt such a law, doing so in 1998, according to the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.

The bill is opposed by gun rights groups.

"Rationing firearms to responsible citizens to reduce gun crime makes about as much sense as rationing knives to restaurant-goers to reduce stabbings," said Scott L. Bach, president of the New Jersey Association of Rifle and Pistol Clubs - the National Rifle Association's state organization.

The proposal comes with New Jersey increasingly concerned about gun crimes, particularly from street gangs.

Last year, authorities in Newark, Irvington and Camden seized 114 firearms, up from 86 in 2005. Meanwhile, homicides in Newark have jumped from 65 in 2002 to 113 last year, with nonfatal shootings also on the rise.
