Harry now pontificating on Senate floor.

I dont’ watch it much but I had respect for Hannity and his factual citations on cost. He was absolutely right that there had been no discussion on the impact on entitlements. None.

And his pal Colmes was his usual smug stupid self. Unable to deal with the factual reality of what happened and why.

If it was the first time, good. When I’ve seen Hannity before he seemed like some sort of solider for the President. We don’t need that. Nation before party.

The good part about this is that is gives 2008 candidates a chance to distance themselves from the President’s policy.

As for myself, if Bush can solidify his tax cuts and get a 3rd nomination to the Supreme Court, some good might come out of his 2nd term.

Do you favor current border enforcement as it is?

When you are in the frying pan, the status quo is favored over the fire.

So, the answer to your question is "yes."

I do feel betrayed by all the hyperbole by border bots.

It is the responsibility of the United States Federal Government to protect our borders.

We do not need to make 'deals' to have it done.

This was a bad bill, done in secret, with the hope that they could quickly get it passed.

Bush is on the wrong side of this issue.

Remittances are Mexico’s biggest source of foreign currency, maybe those in charge also fear the potential destabilizing effect on Mexico of those remittances drying up, causing an enormous surge northwards ?

(Before flames start, I do not support this bill at all).

Change the party from within the primary process.

No one would argue with that.

Thank you, even with the Bush moniker. Not too pleased with him ‘bout now.

The disallusionment leaves me feeling as if I have been physically kicked in the stomach. I supported and fought for Bush with every fiber of my being against all around me since 9-11. I have lost close friends that were dear to me in my myopic support of that man.

Frankly, I felt Bush to be a crummy governor and wasn’t thrilled with voting for him in 2000. I knew him to be vindictive in nature and told my family and friends that when I voted for him, I was afraid I had just consigned my boys to war in Iraq within a year. Then Algore refused to concede and 9-11 followed less than a year later. All my misgivings went right out the window. I got caught up in a patriotic fervor and painted a picture of Bush to be completely different than what I knew him to be when he was Gov. I can’t even blame him. I can only blame myself for doing what many cuckolded women do — closing my eyes, denying, and continuing to support a man that doesn’t nor every existed. I feel sick and foolish, but look forward to the next election when a true conservative walks up the Whitehouse steps and Bush walks down them for the last time.

With the above said, unless my local representative in the House votes for this shamnesty bill if it, Heaven forbid, gets there, I can still pull the straight Republican lever the next election. I am grateful to Alexander and Corker for not taking that away from me, at least.

Let’s keep working to sink this bill and get a man worthy of representing us in the Whitehouse that will fight to win this war at home and abroad keeping our nation sovereign.

That's perfect. And I think, for the first time, that we might eject Hagel from his seat. This Z-amnesty, along with his previous Hagel-Martinez bill, might do the trick.

I sincerely hope so. I want that man gone badly. I just hope we can get rid of them all in the Primaries and not lose the seats.

Thanks for the post & link, which explains the problem - it’s legal to facilitate financial services to illegal dwellers of the USA.

I appreciate your optimism....but I spend all day, everyday...monitoring the left on the web...

I send thousands of emails, faxes and letters to politicos, editors, and anyone I think should hear my opinion...every year.

I don’t see the political world with much enthusiasm...the left is more diabolical than you could ever imagine.

You see, the truth is, the political arena is just smoke and mirrors for public consumption...the real power is hidden.

And the so called “Right” is infected too...those that are called RINO’s have done their part in painting the conservatives into a corner.

I predict that within 5 years the conservative movement will be a shadow.

Dingy Harry compost Reid is going down over this as well.

Anyone who supported this frankenstein bill should go bye bye.

Put up the d***ed wall and start sending them back. Call a summit of Central American nations and let’s get some reforms moving down there. Wasn’t NAFTA suposed to fix that???

Stop allowing Muslims into the country. period!

And don’t forget: Limit the amount of money that can be sent abroad by people living here.

LET THEM BUILD 200 MILES OF FENCE *FIRST* BEFORE ANY NEW BILL IS CONSIDER AND THEN COME BACK TO THIS BILL TO *PROVE* THEY ARE SERIOUS.

No, let them build 700+ miles of fence first, as stated in the bill passed last year requiring it. THEN come back to do a NEW bill that is a vast improvement on this sorry excuse for a bill they were trying to get passed.

I saw once that the best way to get attention is a hand written letter sent thru’ the regular mail.

- it will always be opened and read (or glanced at) because it might contain a contribution.

- the fact that it’s hand written gives credibility.

Makes sense to me - who is going to read thousands of emails or machine generated postcards/letters ?
