Go back and read my comment again. I would have supported the bill--if I lived in the mirror evil universe. But I will say this: even by taking down this bill I am still not going to donate a penny to the RNC. They had the chance to fix the borders in the last Congress and they didn't do the job. Now we are left with the better of two bad options: open borders. Do you understand why I am not applauding?

Michelle Malkin had it first with a live blog. Vote was 45-50. Reid gave a sob speech and pulled it, but more or less says he will try again with more amendments. Hopefully he won’t.

Perhaps all those folks should now make a concerted effort to remind the President of his mandated duties laid out in Article II section 3 of the United States Constitution. This part in particular:
"...,he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed,..."
And that means ALL laws not just the one you like!
Specter, Lugar, and Voinovich are not up until 2010 and are living fossils who may retire.
