Today is the Cloture Vote on Immigration Bill [first cloture vote fails; 2nd cloture vote fails]
7 June 2007 | Gulf War One

Posted on 06/07/2007 6:17:41 AM PDT by Gulf War One

This is the homestretch.

Call and e-mail your senators today, Republicans and Democrats, urging them not to table debate on this critical piece of legislation.

It deserves a fair and open debate of all ramifications. To do otherwise is unamerican.

Ask them to vote "NO" on cloture.

Keep bumping this to the top.

Today is the day.

LOL well I lived in Nevada for 45 years and had to deal with Harry Reid from way back when so Senator Sessions is so refreshing for me!

Hi, fantasywriter. There's still a rabbit in the hat. I called my congressman to demand the House stop it if this bill got over there and to warn they may start getting foreign phone calls.

When congress is stuck on stupid, freepers mobilize.

I heard McCain was conveniently “out of town” to vote today. And to do what?

I missed most of his speech, but got back in time to hear him let dingy Harry have it! It just made me want to do the happy dance.

He is absolutely the greatest. We would all be fortunate to have such a statesman representing us.

Then Reid would find out that the “small group” he was complaining about really ain’t so small.

Thanks. Yes, congratulations, patriots. Hold that line. Secure that border. It’s the United States, not America, W.

Why the rush? The more time spent in filibuster, the less time for Rat mischief of other kinds.

You should be. I’m going to call and leave a message of thanks for him. It won’t be the first time I’ve done that either.

I have to say that I’m flabbergasted by my Congresscritter. Boxer voted against cloture twice today. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that would ever happen.

The House fears voters more than the Senate, obviously. If even a few Senators lose their jobs over this, I think we could have a better government for the forseeable future.
Anyway, thanks again for leading the charge, at least where that La Raza hotline is concerned. I used it again just yesterday, when I was having trouble getting through. And of course, I got straight in, first to Chambliss, and then to Isakson. Those two are in my badbooks for quite a while, I’m afraid, their final nay votes notwithstanding.

"They are like Paris Hilton. They think they are above our laws. "

That is a fact they get released faster than US citizens because they don't have much money.

My Senators are Hillary Rodham Clinton and Shmuckie “Hump the Camera” Schumer.

These two being Senators is a mockery of sanity and analytical thought. A true insult to all Americans. A corruption of all that is just.

New York, how did these two morons get elected? Oh, don't bother to tell me. One walk down 42nd street and I have the answer. The man lying face down in his own waste voted for them both... 10 times.

Exactly who is forcing them to make beds? Sounds like Mel thinks making a bed is torture. They are illegal and can have a green card but NOT CITIZENSHIP. The country is full. Did you hear about the totalization agrmt w/Mexico? Plan to combine our social security fund with Mexico’s so aliens can double dip. I think that was a Bush deal. It was buried in the Senate bill.
