You’ll have to drop back to 1787 and do it over. At least take another look at the XIVth Amend.

I’ve no doubt that sometimes Divine intervention will support a military coup.

I didn’t understand your suggestion that I take another look at the XIV Amendment. Maybe you’re alluding to the duty of We the People to vote?

Thanks for responding.

The XIV Amend is at the center of the illegal immigration debate as well as the Corporatizing of American business. It doesn’t get enough attention except as blind acceptance.

"A military coup would be the end of the Constitution, and thus of the country."

Wakeup!

The Constitution is just a wrinkled and faded old document put on display once in awhile. The professional Politicians killed all it stood for many years ago, and keep enacting laws that will prevent us from being that shining beacon of Freedom ever again.

FedGov is far from exceeding its legal authority. Look at what happens when it is even hinted that FedGov might invoke its legal powers as Corsi mentioned last week: nothing.

I don't judge the legality of something based on the public reaction. I use the law and my own reasoning power. Yes, most people have been browbeaten and fooled into believing that government is operating legally but that doesn't change what is legal.

“When I see the worsening degeneracy in our politicians, our media, our educators, and our intelligentsia, I can’t help wondering if the day may yet come when the only thing that can save this country is a military coup.”

Uhhh, no. I don’t see how you “save” the country by having a coup d’ etat.

It also doesn’t help that half the people don’t pay taxes, and then proceed to vote on how high the taxes should be for the other half. It is useful to remember that the IRS is permitted to carry guns, as if the inherent threat of force wasn’t enough. We have gone from a Republic to a more Democratic Republic. Eventually, we’ll go from a Democracy to a totalitarian govt. It is probable given the history of the world. A lot of it started with Wilson, and more, much more, with FDR.

If it all should ever come to pass, Doctor Sowell would get my vote for President of a restored democratic republic.
