Bush has been getting an ear full from conservatives on this one. Let him chide all he wants to. He is a major disappointment to Americans on the immigration issue.

Bush is going to lose whatever political juice he has left pushing the worst proposal since HillaryCare.

Jorge the globalist. He seems to have fogotten these words he spoke:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

As a former Bushbot and rabid George Bush supporter I now see that he should have never have been elected. There is a "war on terror" but you let anyone in to the country that wants in? There is no logic at all to that.

Can anyone defend Bush anymore? When your liberal friends trash him do you fight back? I can't nor will I.

We are lost if this is the best we can do for a "leader".

Hey W....

I voted for you twice...
I have long supported you in the face of hostile opinion and scathing attack by your political adversaries...

I am beginning to think my unwavering support for your presidency--especially including the war on terror --
....has been a HUGE mistake...

I thought we elected a courageous, PATRIOTIC leader with a strong moral compass---
These days I fear we have only settled for the lesser of political evils...

This present immigration gig is WRONG!! WRONG!! WRONG!!

You are dividing and alienating the conservaive base that put you in office... and which also remains the best hope for your successor...

It's not about your legacy, sir...
It's about the future of the American sovereignty and her way of life....

Get real...

One thing they don’t talk about is the fact that our population is demanding that we import food from other countries. We are reaching the point that we can no longer grow enough food to feed our own population. These people are going to put a big strain on our food supply. We are taking a big chance importing our food from others. Look at China......I buy no food from China....not taking the chance any more.

Who are you? What happened to the republican presidential candidate I voted for? There was no way in hell I wanted Kerry running this country but why are you rushing to reach his level of incompetence? This amnesty bill you support is a real betrayal of the base that got you into office. Our social security and medicare system are already facing disaster without the additional costs of adding millions of poor from Mexico. What are you thinking?
Are you just going back to Texas after your term and pull the blanket over your head?

It needs to be said again. He ran on this position twice! I can remember shortly before 9/11/2001 when he was making a big push towards some form of Amnesty. I guess the terror attacks caused amnesia around here.

For the most part Bush has been consistent with what he said he believes in. The voters just weren't paying attention.

To someone actually listening to what the candidates say, a vote for Bush has always been a pro-amnesty vote. He never changed his position.

He likes to chide.

He chided us on our opposition to the Harriet Myers nomination.

He chided us on our opposititon to the Dubia-controlled ports deal.

Is there any doubt this man would not have been seriously considered as presidential candidate if his last name were not Bush? Is he any less of a bumbler now than he was during the 1999-2000 campaign season?

Folks, you got what you voted for. Stop nominating weak-principled moderates if you want principled government!

He isn’t even considering what it will do to the next election chances of any repub.

Unfortunately, the President never intended other than dupe us on immigration. Otherwise, the borders would have been shut down years ago. I thought we were at war?...

Dear President Bush,

No, absolutely no illegal immigration.

You and the rest of the pro-illegal types haven't given us _one_ actual reason to do this. If there's a reason, other than hidden amnesty and special priviledges, you're going to have to come clean and explain why this must be done.

It would be a valid reason to state that US(a) is completely bankrupt and the powerful banks demand we do this or else they're going to call the loans. Give us the truth! or the answer is a huge no.

Pres. Bush even in the past seems real weak on any real reform. Plus, enforce the laws already on the books and the US doesn’t need another immigration bill.
