It’s interesting that this is still happening, given Romney’s rise and McCain’s attempt to stay in the top tier.

I don’t think social conservatives have started smoking crack...so no, they are not backing Rudy.

No real social conservative could ever back a pro publicly funded abortion, pro gay, and anti-gun candidate.

If it’s Romney, McCain or Rudy, I’ll vote Rudy. Unfortunately, for Rudy, Fred Thompson’s starting the money raise, so I like so many others will flock away from Rudy.

“some of whom warn that Giuliani backers are abandoning core principles.”
Rudy Giuliani is not running for Pope or National Preacher. It seems that some conservatives don’t understand that.

IF YOU BELIEVE THE FIRM THAT DECEIVED CONGRESS ABOUT McCAIN-FEINGOLD, you may also believe that Rudy Giuliani, who is the most flagrant advocate of abortion and homosexuality to attempt to falsely label himself as a Republican presidential candidate in more than a generation, is so far deceiving social conservatives, according to that firm's new analysis of other recent pollstertician projections.
There. Fixed it.

Not a chance, after witnessing what gwb has done, I will not put up with four more years of seeing what I cae about trampled under foot by any so called “republican”.
Not gonna happen, I would rather vote Ron Paul than Rudy, which means that I hope Fred Runs, or Romney rises.
A little iffy on mitt though, but he isn’t in the “hold my nose” column right now.

Apparently the "social conservatives" selected for this survey are the same people who kept posting here pro-Rudy statements that always began with "WELL, I'M AS PRO-LIFE AS ANYBODY ON EARTH" and then immediately added BUT before explaining that they didn't really mind that Rudy wanted to use their taxes to kill babies since, after all, he could beat Hillary. People like that are beneath contempt; they are Republicans because the Democrats won't have them.
