Romney made HealthCARE mandatory and it is not ‘free market’.

RomneyCARE = HillaryCARE = Socialized Medicine

Fred is doing the right thing. His novelty will wear off once he officially becomes a candidate. So far, he has spent no money, has not had to share the stage with some of the other goofs in these debates, and pretty much gets to speak his mind thru various media outlets without the other candidates demanding equal time.

He should hold out until after the summer. Let the others beat each other up first. Heck, Newt is waiting until November. By then, there will be less time to dig up dirt.

McCain supports the Immigration Bill, Campaign Finance Reform, was originally against the Tax Cuts, what’s next Global Warming? I say good riddence - his candicy is crumbling. The sooner he’s toast the better.

Research?
Romney is Socialist RINO.

If you have research, explain EXACTLY about
socialized ROMNEYcare, that you think is sooooo great.

Do you think RomneyCARE slaves (they have no choice)
get to choose their own physicians?

“what’s next Global Warming? “

McCain already jumped on that bandwagon. Climate skeptic called his hearings the ‘most biased’ he ever saw...

Another liberal style response from you.

The Romney plan allows you to buy health insurance from any HMO / PPO via your employer or privately. You can pick any doctor or hospital and since the HMO’s want more subscribers there is competition among them to provide better plans. The hospitals and doctor’s want loyal returning customers so there is competition there.

In socialized medicine like Canada, there is a single payer system with no competition and service level drops. I live in MA and while there is plenty wrong with this state which is a liberal cess pool, the health care here is the best in the nation.

How can you call this Hillary CARE. If you have an emotional reason to keep disagreeing and will not let facts enter the discussion then I can’t help you since you have already made up your mind.

You may not like Romney and that’s fine but he is a free market capitalist , not a socialist like Hillary. It is ridiculous to put the mindset and approach of these two people in the same basket. Hillary wants more govt control over people’s lives whereas Romney has been a very successful business person.

Let’s elevate the discussion level instead of emotional cliches worthy of liberals.

RomneyCARE, socialized medicine by dictat,
does not give people choice.

Romney is only pro-free market when it is for HIM.
For others, Romney is a socialist who took choice
from people in Mass on health care and gay marriage.
[I know you will blame it on others, but he was the Gov.].

Look at the record, in particular the vetoes. IMO, it's the best solution for universal health insurance, as it is with universal car insurance.

Best solution? It is to allow millions of illegal aliens
to get care at MGH and other tertiary care emergency rooms.

It is not the best solution. Competition is.

Romney is a Socialist who ought be Hillary’s VP.

“RomneyCARE, socialized medicine by dictat,
does not give people choice.”

You again refuse to deal with facts. Would you call mandatory car insurance a socialist program ? If yes, then you need common sense 101.

If no, then let’s agree that people need some form of health insurance so that the tax payers are not left footing the bill. Romney CARE does not control what plan you have and you have the same level of choice of doctor’s you have today. That is not even close to Hillary CARE.

I strongly disagree with health benefits for illegals but that is a federal law which I would support repealing. It does illustrate what happens when a large % of people do not have health insurance. At least we can ensure that law abiding citizens are self responsible by not askikng me to pick up their health care tab.

This is a very conservative and self reliant stance, not socialist at all. If you actually read his plan with an open mind you would agree as well.

What would you suggest as a solution, why should I pay the cost for someone that buys a plasma TV instead of health insurance for him and his family. I think it is socialist to take money from me to pay health care costs for an irresponsible bum.

Typically of Mitt Romney, he says one thing and does another. He has said that "personally, he's not sure global warming is happening."

But, at the same time, in direct contradiction to his words, he enacted the "Massachusetts Climate Protection Plan," which is EVERYTHING the radical enviros are after anyway.

With Mitt Romney, you always need to watch what he does, not what he says. And typically, what he does is liberal to the core.

Again, read it and weep.

Another area that Mitt Romney pushed the Left's agenda, as if we needed more, was by pushing "Smart Growth," which is little more than one more deceptive smiley face on the liberals' continuing erosion of private property rights in this country.

As usual, there's practically no liberal liberty-destroying fad that won't eventually get Romney's support, as soon as he can figure out a way to mask it behind nice-sounding words.

Romney awards $517 million in smart growth funding
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

CHELSEA — Gov. Mitt Romney bid farewell yesterday to Doug Foy, secretary of the Office of Commonwealth Development, by providing $517 million in funding for his pet project: smart growth.

Facts? If you want to vote Socialist, go ahead.

If you want to vote RINO, go ahead.

Note that you are relatively alone here for RomneyCARE,
probably because you know nothing about it.

Fred Thompson’s eventual entrance into the GOP Presidential race will end up greatly changing the poll results yet again. The polls will eventually have Fred Thompson as the overall favorite to win both the GOP Presidential Primary and the general election for ‘08 (I hope). Right now, I support both Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson, and I also hope that Fred Thompson/Duncan Hunter is the eventual GOP Presidential ticket for ‘08.
Fred's official entrance into the race will probably shake things up initially, however, he will have to live up to his supporters' high expectations to sustain and build on it. In the meantime, if one of the other candidates closes the deal with conservatives Fred will have to work really hard to win them over. My political gut tells me that time doesn't favor Fred, so I think he had best decide sooner rather than later. He will have my ear if/when he makes it official. :)

McCain is down 3 points since last week (Amnesty doesn't appear to be helping him. Cue Nelson: Ha Ha).

Interestingly, Thompson is down 4 points since 5/8. I guess dithering butters no parsnips.

I think it’s very encouraging that a man who hasn’t even said he’s running (Thomson) is in a strong 4th place, poised to take over a man who was one of the first to announce his candidacy (McCain).

I hope Thomson announces. The thought of having to choose between the remainder literally makes me sick.
