Robert Trivers is a biology professor at Rutgers University. He is also a leftist extremist (admirer and collaborator of Noam Chomsky) and a hater of Israel and America. Trivers is also an apologist for Afrofascist racism and American domestic terrorists like the Black Panthers with whom he had a previous association. Trivers passes for what is arguably the state of American academic scene today: one dominated by leftists in which even more extremist leftists are far from unusual.

I didn't see the Dershowitz article, but I did see the Trivers letter that the WSJ printed. I thought it was so poorly written that I assumed some Journal editor must have massacred it. But maybe not.

It is apparent that some of the posters here have no understanding of what it means to be awarded the Craaford Prize. Or the seminal nature of Trivers work in evolutionary biology. You may take issue with his politics, but not his science.
PS The Trivers-Willard hypothesis about sex ratio has not been ‘largely debunked’. Where do you get this stuff from?
PPS re the ‘anthropology is largely a fraud’ comment - Trivers work applies across all taxa, and at all levels of complexity and organization, from bacteria to primates. Perhaps you should remember Wittgenstein’s remark: Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent.
