I’m pure yankee and the flag doesn’t bother me a bit.

On the other hand, when I see a bunch of people waving the confederate battle flag I get the urge to buy a Dodge Charger, paint it dark blue with a 35 star Union flag on the top, and wire it's horn to play the Battle Hymm of the Republic. I'll name it the General Grant.

I always pictured the General Grant as more of a GTO.

Actually, that's the way it should be.

Use the battle flags to honor the soldiers that did their duty as they saw it and leave the battle flags out of current politics.

“and wire it’s horn to play the Battle Hymm of the Republic”

If you read the lyrics of the “Battle Hymn of the Republic”, it refers to killing American civilians, families....

What do you think “trample out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored”?

I'll name it the General Grant.

An appropriate vehicle for getting plastered and then driving well in excess of the speed limit.

(Don't know that Grant drank much while he was president, but his speeding was the bane of the D.C. police department.)

Hmmmm...I think you just gave me an idea for a modeling project. I'm wondering what color I should paint it...

OK great idea, indulge your urge and go for it. Just don't tell me I can't indulge my urge to paint the Stars and Bars on my Charger and name it General Lee.

That's what's so great about America, we all have our opinions and sentiments and we can all express them without fear of government reprisal. At least we can until politically correct would-be tyrants like the lawyer quoted in this article take away our constitutional right to freely speak our minds and express our opinions.

And I suppose you’d drive it 100 miles an hour through Savannah, too?

I thought about that idea too lol. Paint it the general Sherman instead of the Grant and drive it through Georgia... lol NO! I don’t recommend that one!

Also, that’s a terrific idea.

Especially if you film it. It would be INTERNET GOLD!
