I understand how you feel.
But the insurgents also recognize this dynamic, and routinely use the dwellings, property and land of innocent Iraqis against their will.
They couple that with a threat of dumping the headless body of their firstborn son on their doorstop if they help allied forces in any way.
After a few headless corpses appear, the community “helps” by being silent out of fear.
We cannot just demolish the houses and kill the people here. In WWII, the civilian populace was heavly invested by their own free will (for the most part) in the war effort. They were an integral part of the war machine.
Yeah, well I want the Iraqi people to understand this:
Some of our first born are losing more than their heads over there trying to help them out. If they don't soon start helping them against these insurgents/terrorists a lot more people are going to lose their patience and say the hell with you.
