But this is being pushed in 40 states!!!! The Dems will not stop until they succeed in overturning this important protection in the Constitution against the domination of Presidential politics by the heavily populated (urban) centers of this nation!

They could only do so through a Constitutional amendment. That would have to be passed by Congress then sent to the states for ratification. Do you really believe that would occur between now and November 2008?
