They could only do so through a Constitutional amendment. That would have to be passed by Congress then sent to the states for ratification. Do you really believe that would occur between now and November 2008?

Go ahead. Do what you have to do. But please understand why I don’t share your immediacy.

It won't happen by 2008, but that doesn't change the immediacy of the issue.
Do you realize that about 8 or so years ago we cane within one State of a Constitutional Convention? We got there because people ignored it until only three (If memory serves me correct) more states needed to call for one.

You don't remember the fight for the ERA - Equal Rights Amendment (re: feminist campaign for equal "rights" for women) which was being sought as an Amenement to the Constitution...- that was fought state by state for YEARS? That movement was FINALLY defeated nationwide. (But word is the Demnazi's want re-visit THAT issue soon).

Most Americans have no idea this "movement" is going on. The ones who do are the ones who are ANGRY that President Bush won the last two elections. Period.

It's being introduced in 40 state legislatures - NOW. Reason enough to work against it in EVERY state. In NC the Demonrats have managed to pass it out of a Senate Committee - next step Passage by the entire NC Senate - while NC House is working on a similar bill.

STOP THIS IN NC NOW!!!
