Abortion is a big issue and lots of folks tie it into the lack of morality that liberalism has infected into our society. Rudy’s one MAIN stron point with the strong Right (not Ultra) is the fact that he is strong on national security which many of those folks place at the top of the priority list. Don’t believe he is real friendly to the 2nd Amendment folks though. IF someone with a strong conviction in national defense shows up to the party, Rudy could lose a good deal of support.

It isn't just abortion where Giuliani disagrees with the majority of Republicans and the Republican Party Platform. Giuliani is more often in agreement with Hillary and the Democrats than he is with Republicans.

Why then do hardcore conservatives make up such a small percentage of the voting population?? They only win elections by bringing moderates into the fold. I hear that and hear that and hear that. But I've seen no evidence to support the idea that Giulianis strong on national security. In fact, I see evidence to the contrary. What do you have to back up your claim?
