How many of those .50 rifles have ever been used in a crime?
Why don’t these fools go after the box-cutter industry?
Some activists just don’t understand how to make their points in less than 1 million words.
Every member of the Board of Directors for the VPC should be hanged as traitors...
Triple bagger barf alert!
This writing style heralds from the "More words = must be right" school of thought. It's next door to the "It feeeeeels better, so it must be right" school of thought and across the street from the "Passion = truth" school.
It’s a really powerful gun.
Five words.
Still not as effective as a truckload of fertilizer.
So VPC starts to exaggerate.
I’m more worried about the nut that wrote this than I am about anyone owning this weapon.
btw, I can’t help but laugh at the notion anyone can buy one of these guns and ‘hit a target at a 1,000 yards’.
Thats utter nonsense. It takes YEARS to learn that particular ‘skill set’. And several thousand rounds.
The cost alone makes it improbable.
The Violence Policy Center (VPC), a national tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. (This explains much). Here is a nice article about the Violence Policy Center’s decline.

I didn’t see the date of the article until after I posted it. It’s a VPC series from 2001. Here’s the table of contents from the VPC website:

And where can I get some of those armor-piercing incendiary rounds?
And many other places, thank goodness.
What is ‘reclaimed US military?’ And made in 1980?
“50 caliber armor-piercing incendiary rounds widely available in the U.S. civilian market.”
What is he talking about? Widely available? Aren’t armor-piercing incendiary rounds for civilians completely illegal no matter what the caliber?
I’m under the impression that 50 cal rifles and ammo are so expensive that the low life mental defectives who constitute terrorists don’t own them.
What domestic terrorist has ever used this weapon?
Terrorists overseas have access to equivalent weapons manufactured elsewhere. I see no reason whatsoever to ban this firearm.
I promise that if the 50 cal is banned, next they’ll want the evil 30-06 banned. It can kill a man at 1/4 mile in the hands of a newbie shooter using the prone position and an inexpensive telescopic sight.
Guns are really scary! Nobody should have them! (except our trusty government)
Maybe not widely available, but can be had. Go to Gunbroker.com and do a search for API or APIT (Armor Piercing Incendiary or Armor Piercing Incendiary Tracer)
The very first people I’m “voting against” is anyone associated with the VPC.
