Another one you may want to add to your list is the Strategic Air Command museum just outside of Omaha. Thanks. If I ever make it to Nebraska I'll make a point of visiting. I'm in Alabama and I still need to visit the Army Aviation Museum in Fort Rucker as well as the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola. I pass within 40 miles of Fort Rucker at least once a year, but my wife is always with me and she doesn't care for that stuff.

Eglin AFB, FL near Ft. Walton Beach has a very nice museum as well. It’s right on the highway, no ID needed.

There’s the Marine air museum in Miramar which is free and open to the public.
