The Newsroom at CBS 13 in Sacramento, CA is monitoring the Rush Limbaugh show today. They may be somewhat concerned.
CBS, as you recall, is the network that promoted phony National Guard documents to try to influence a presidential election.
I just spoke to the newsdesk in Sacramento. They are aware that Limbaugh has been talking about them today and giving warnings that they had better remove a video about "Barack the Magic Negro" that someone put on YouTube. Limbaugh had nothing to do with the production.
CBS 13 has a poll underway asking if Limbaugh's parody is racist. They did a 2-part series about it and are trying to cause some controversy.
The woman at the newsdesk has been informed that the term "Barack the Magic Negro" did not originate with Limbaugh. It originated with the leftist Los Angeles Times. According to her, they are "taking everything into consideration and dealing with the Limbaugh 'Magic Negro' situation."
The press is often allowed to get away with this nonsense because some people are powerless to stop it. They took on the wrong guy this time.

Is it is. You are correct.
They are totally misrepresenting their poll results. It has been running 96% all day that people think it is not racist. On segment 5 of the show, when they finally admitted it originated in the L.A. Times, they claim that 48% think it is racist. Just amazing. They can’t even report their own poll properly.
Thank God for Rush.
He’s the Leader of a few who dare to speak the truth.

So that would be the TV journalist's equivalent of burying the scofflaw politician's party affiliation in paragraph 18 on the back inside page in section B?

Girl at newsdesk says someone will call me back. She did not know why they said on the air 49% think it’s racist when their poll only shows 5% thinking it’s racist.

Basically Rush mentioned “His good friends at Free Republic”, and them smacking a poll by the c.bs. affiliate and whether the funny song he plays about the “Magic Negro” was racism on his part or just making fun of those the song parodies.

Listening online to KFBK, the afternoon news team had Paul Shanklin on for an interview. Paul said the CBS has asked him for an interview. He said he knew the parody would be nuclear when he composed the parody.
Before Paul was interviewed, Lisa and Chris from CBS were being interviewed by KFBK.
They said that Rush will be on KFBK tomorrow morning during the 7 AM hour of the show.

Rush Limbaugh Attacks CBS13 Over Obama Poll
The Talk Show Host Accused The Station Of Being Racially Divisive
(CBS13) SACRAMENTO Talk show host Rush Limbaugh has been running a parody about presidential candidate Barack Obama on his show discussing Obama’s racial heritage. This morning on CBS13.com at 5 and 6 a.m. we played a clip of the song circulating on YouTube and asked whether or not it was racist.
Hours later she’s what happened: Rush then talked about CBS13 on his show and called our anchors “moronic”. That’s a quote.
The Obama camp calls the song dumb and doesn’t think anyone will take it seriously but Rush Limbaugh began to call our CBS anchors part of the “liberal media.”
“The learned journalist community is moronic and they are ignorant and we are doing our best here to bring them up to speed on this,” said Rush.
Chris Burrous and Lisa Gonzales join us at that talk about how he depicted them.
“Guys, Rush says you know just even bringing the subject up serves up the racial controversy, what is your take on it?” asked Nick Toma.
“We don’t think so, actually we think we would be members of the liberal drive-by media as he has said today and often says if we didn’t ask the question,” said Chris Burrous. We like the new show on CBS13 in the morning from 5 to 7 a.m. We do news stories and we ask people to call in and e-mail in their thoughts. We don’t edit the thoughts. We put them right out on the air and I don’t know about you I don’t care which way the poll turns out it’s just giving viewers a voice and an opportunity to say what ever they want to say about it. I wouldn’t care if 90% of the viewers went one way or another on it.”
“I think we just wanted to hear what viewers had to say which I think is exactly opposite of the liberal driving-by media he depicts it,” said Lisa Gonzales.
“And he called you guys liberal, moronic and your response to that?” asked Michelle Kane.
“Well, the way this started today. I walked in this morning at 3:15 in the morning and saw an newspaper article saying there is some social activist groups calling this song that Limbaugh plays ‘racist’,” said Burrous. “I went to listen to song right away and I sit right here in the newsroom, I sit right across from a guy who is black. And, I noticed for a second my hesitation was to turn it down the sound. And I wasn’t quite sure if I felt embarrassed. I wasn’t quite sure what I felt about it. And I thought, ‘heck’ that’s an interesting question ‘is this song racist or not?’. That’s why we posted the question, to give people the opportunity to give some comment on it.”
“Finally Lisa, we will ask you. Other radio shows, TV shows across the country were talking this story. Why do you think Rush decided to pick on you guys?” asked Nick.
“Well, I said I wanted to hear from Rush. So I think he gave us his answer,” said Lisa. “We are hearing from Rush. I wanted to know what rush had to say about it and I think we are hearing that today.”
“It is the power of Rush. Tens of thousands of e-mails have been coming in from across the country,” said Burrous. “I will say one thing, Rush is taken just a short portion of what we had to say and what our viewers had to say. We really didn’t have anything to say this morning, it was what the viewers had so say. If you want to see the entire segment you can judge for yourself, he normally value seeing every segment, everything we did this morning is there, unedited. And you can watch for yourself. I will say we made one mistake this morning, though. Whe we played the song the
Rush Limbaugh plays, we put some video with it video on YouTube. Some listener married this video of Barack Obama with Rush Limbaugh’s song. We shouldn’t have been clearer about the video had nothing to do with the Rush Limbaugh. That was a mistake. But it doesn’t make the question invalid.”
We should point out rush is a huge background here. He was on KFBK for years. We all grew up listening to him.
“We started poll but he is doing a poll as well he put up this morning. And the question he is asking are Chris Burrous, Lisa Gonzales and Jeff James morons who are threatening racial harmony?” asked Chris. “I don’t think we’re threatening any racial harmony by asking a question and having a dialogue any more than a song like that is could do the same, some people would say.”
