People, Kennedy was killed by a lone nut, Lee Harvey Oswald...end of story.

Right. Oswald shot Kennedy with a piece of crap rifle, with three shots within seconds, when other expert rifle shots have not been able to do the same trick in almost twice the time, plus Oswald was considered a poor shot while in the Marines. Leaves a lot of room for doubt about the number of shooters. The old bolt-action rifle was a piece of garbage. It could not be fired that quickly and reloaded that quickly to get off three shots in the time frame. Apparently, only "expert" Oswald is the only person that could do it.

A Boy Scout troop could have done it. A Girl Scout Troop could have done it if they had enough practice.

The first shot starts the clock.
Miss.
Rechamber.
Second shot at 44 yards.
Hit.
Rechamber.
Third shot at 88 yards.
Hit.
8.3 seconds.

You couldn’t do it but I can with a crappy revolver or pistol. Easier with a four power scope and a benched rifle no matter who manaufactured it.

Stupid, stupid people.

Bull$h^t

Where do you get your info? It’s been proven over and over again by multiple documentries History Channel, Discovery, even Mythbusters that Oswald have PLENTY of time to aim, shoot and reload three times.

Seriously. When did you retire and from what army?

From Posner: On December 21, 1956, after three weeks of [M-1 Garand] training, he shot 212 [out of 250?], two points over the score required for a "sharpshooter" qualification, the second highest in the Marine Corps. Such a score indicated that from a standing position, he could hit a ten-inch bull's-eye, from a minimum of 200 yards, eight times out of ten.

Oswald's score book showed that he scored a 48 out of a possible 50 on one occasion, and a 49 out of a possible 50 on another, from 200 yards, iron sights, M-1 Garand.

Shooter 2.5 shows that the real shooting time was over eight seconds, RedMonqey confirms, and jordan8 notes that Oswald scored a middling grade as a USMC-qualified Sharpshooter (the second highest grade in USMC qualification), which is all entirely true.

Now it's my turn to enter the thread and defend the suitability of the Mannlicher-Carcano M91/38 rifle used in the assassination.

Simply put: They're actually nice rifles. It fires a ripping powerful cartridge and their actions are typically butter-smooth. The Italians have a tradition of making fine military firearms going back centuries. Italians just do not make crappy guns. They will perform to shoot 1"-2" groups at 100 meters, which means a dead simple series of shots at the JFK assassination range of 44 and 88 yards. Mannlicher-Carcano M91/38s were just sold inexpensively as military surplus to the American public. That's their only sin, that they were sold cheaply.

Every single silly conspiracy theory regarding the JFK Assassination eventually gets around to insisting that Oswald could not possibly have made the shots he did. It's not true at all.
