Ever since that late morning is Dealey Plaza Dallas Texas, November 22nd 1963, the soul of America has been tortured by lingering doubts about the official version of the murder of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. The Chief Justice Earl Warren was appointed by Lyndon Baines Johnson to head the official investigation, the Warren Commission. After reviewing all the evidence, the Commission's final report named Lee Harvey Oswald as the lone gunman responsible.
In 1966, the book, Six Seconds in Dallas, raised important questions pointing to evidence which indicated that there was more than one shooter. More than one shooter would indicate a conspiracy, so the next question would be "Who else was involved"...

I see an underlying rationale to the death of JFK which may be very important to a conspiracy theory.
1) JFK, among his other medical problems, had Addison’s disease, a life threatening illness.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Addison%27s_disease
2) At the time, the only known treatment for the disease was massive doses of cortisone.

3) At that time, it was *incorrectly* believed that massive doses of cortisone would make a person clinically, even violently paranoid. In 1956, there had even been a movie made, (described on IMDB as “terrifying”), starring James Mason, called “Bigger than Life”, in which a schoolteacher is driven violently mad by taking cortisone.

4) Finally, at that time, JFK had the unilateral authority to *initiate* nuclear war with Russia.
Put these items together, and the *reason* for JFK to die becomes very clear.
The only other question that would definitively explain why he was assassinated would be if someone had asked him to resign for health reasons, and he refused.
I don’t know if anyone approached him in this way, but I think if they did, and he did refuse, he may have signed his own death warrant.
In such a circumstance, the authority to kill the President would have most certainly been given to LBJ, as his Vice President.
Not correct.
Kennedy’s head went back because of the “jet effect” caused by brain tissue exiting his head towards the front, from a shot from the rear. It’s basic physics.

I don't think so either. But I think he had prior knowledge and allowed it to happen.
Seems to me that JFK was the only person that didn't know what was going to happen in Dealy Plaza. Easy to keep a conspiracy secret if everyone else was in on it.
I think this guy has all the details.
I think Howie Carr had Specter on a couple of years ago, and Howie asked him about the “magic” bullet. Specter couldn’t explain it.
bookmark for later conspiracy reading
Specter should have just said that it was magic, nothing but pure magic.
Oh, brother!
Best documentary: The Kennedy Assassination - Beyond Conspiracy This is routinely played on the History Channel. Record it.
Best book: Case Closed by Gerald Posner, where these silly conspiracy theories are taken apart one by one. If you haven't read this book you don't have a right to an opinion on the JFK assassination.
Honorable mention, book: Marina and Lee Oswald's wife's story as told to Priscilla Johnson McMillan.
Read an enormous amount of books on this topic.
Most conveniently forget the brutal shooting of officer JD Tippit. Oswald is the shooter of Tippit, no question. (I recommend “With Malice: Lee Harvey Oswald and the Murder of Officer J.D. Tippit”)
This gutless act proves Oswald to be the same type of fame-seeking murderer like the recent idiot at VA Tech.
No, no, no. Bush’s dad did it. That set everything in place for blowing up the World Trade Center on 9/11 and taking out Sadam so Haliburton could get all the contracts. The BFEE was set in motion on 11/23/63. Everyone knows that.
Well, DUH!!! LBJ had the MOST to win....he was there to make sure everything was OK and his wife was probably in on it!! NEVER.....NEVER trust a man who makes people watch him take a dump on the toilet....he’s capable of all things VILE.
Bump.
St. John Hunt was on the Glenn Beck program yesterday, and Glenn played some excerpts of tapes St. John purports to be E. Howard giving a deathbed confession of the Kennedy assination.
St. John said the tapes “just showed up” in his mailbox one day.
No, no, no. Kennedy was killed by a conspiracy of the Roswell aliens and a time traveling Neil Armstrong. In an alternate universe (read, the one we would be living in had November 22, 1963 just been another day), a second term Kennedy was going to release info that proved that the object that crashed in Roswell was a UFO and that the planned “moon landing” would be a fraud. The aliens and Armstrong couldn’t handle it, so it was decided that Armstrong would go back in time and shut Kennedy up./conspiracy mode.
There was no “magic” required. The idea peddled by the conspiracy book sellers that a “magic” bullet had to exit Kennedy, change direction in midair, move upward, and then down into Connolly was based on the false premise that Kennedy and Connolly were seated at the same height.
Oliver Stone perpetuated this misconception in his movie “JFK” in the scene where he had Costner arrange two chairs on the floor, one behind the other, to demonstrate the supposed “magic” bullet theory. The chairs are at the same height, which was not true of the two seats in the limo.
In reality, Kennedy was on the back bench-style seat of the limo, while Connolly was seated in a fold-out seat in front of him. The fold-out seat Connolly was sitting in was NOT level with Kennedy’s back seat but was much LOWER, that was simply the way those limos were made.
There is no “magic” to explain, it’s based on a falsehood.
I also saw a program a few years ago on Discovery that recreated the “magic bullet” shot almost precisely.
Was it Lady Bird or one of the daughters? Didn’t they have LBJ for initials also? ;)
Linda Bird and Luci Baines. My mother always said they were the homeliest girls to ever live in the White House, but then along came Amy Carter and Chelsea Clinton.
Lady Bird? Luci Baines?
