Iran’s Ambassador to Mexico has voiced Tehran’s interest in bolstering all-out ties with all Latin American states, Mexico in particular

In an interview with the Mexican Canal 40 TV Network, Mohammad- Hassan Qadiri-Abyaneh said Tehran is doing its best to further boost bilateral ties with Mexico.
Terming Tehran-Mexico City relations as “amicable”, he said there are great potentials in both countries for further expansion of cooperation in all areas.
As to Iran-Mexico trade exchanges, the Iranian envoy said bilateral trade exchanges currently stand at dlrs 30 million.
However, he stressed the figure can be multiply in the future, due to the existing economic potentials in both countries.
Underlining the need for making joint investments, he called for entering into joint ventures in the area of energy and oil.
Referring to Iran’s valuable experiences in construction of power plants, petrochemical complexes, and dams, Qadiri-Abyaneh said the Islamic Republic of Iran is among the world’s five major countries in dam building.
Iran has the potential to make investment in various areas of exploitation of oil and gas, laying pipelines and constructing power plant and petrochemical complex in Mexico, he added.
Outlining Iran’s foreign policy, the ambassador said Tehran is a peace-seeking country which is against war in any part of the globe.
However, the Islamic Republic of Iran has the ability to defend its territory and sovereignty in case of any aggression, he reiterated.
