Every time we defeat a democrat, a new one rises to take his place.
Therefore we must stop defeating democrats.
On the other hand....
Everytime the democrats defeat a Republican, the Republicans send a new one.
Therefore the democrats must stop defeating Republicans.
But...
Everytime someone dies, a new person gets born, therefore we have to stop dying.
and...
Everytime someone retires from a company, a new person takes his/her place. Therefore people have to stop retiring.
and it should be noted that....
Everytime someone buys a loaf of bread the store puts a new one on shelf - so everyone should stop buying bread.
and finally....
Everytime you eat you then have to go to the bathroom....need I say more?
How about: "Every time the Democrats defeat a Republican, the rest of the Republicans start trying to be Democrats."
Of course, since 1995 or thereabouts, the Republicans have been acting like Democrats anyway.
Btw, you did notice that the article was a satire? They really ought to print satire in a different font or something, because it really is hard to distinguish satire from reality when Harry Reid is involved.
