You know, you will never see a liberal rag like the Village Voice (who I think at one time Mayor Rudy refered to as “panty sniffers”) talk about how NOLA knew about the levee problem for 40 years and did nothing. They will just blame Bush.
I have mixed feelings about Rudy and given a choice between him and a real conservative, I will vote for the real conservative.

Yeh, yeh....is THIS close enough? (In fact, if you’ll read the entire Village Voice piece at the link, you’ll have to look very very hard hoping to find it a Bush bash)
“According to this 2003 article from Civil Engineering Magazine , “any concerted effort to protect the city from a storm of category 4 or 5 will probably take 30 years to complete. And the feasibility study alone for such an effort will cost as much as $8 million” and take about six years to complete.”
(remember that Katrina hit in Aug 2005.....this author cites a published piece from 2003)
