You might ask your liberal friends if they are aware that Islam presents the unbeliever with Three Choices: convert, submit, or die. Then ask him which of the three he prefers, and if this demand is “peaceful” or not.

You might ask if he thinks that any belief system can be spread by the sword. Is it peaceful to people who have not yet made up their minds to forcefully seize any Bibles from them, such as is done in Saudi Arabia. Is it peaceful to make it a capital crime to leave the Religion of Peace, even if one were born into it and did not accept it as a matter of deliberate choice.

You might propose that maybe followers of the so-called Religion of Peace, who were in fact peaceful, are in reality just unable to bring themselves to follow that religion as it describes itself in its own texts. That maybe “moderates” are like Methodists who cannot quite bring themselves to believe what the Bible really says. Indeed, that the people we commonly call “radicals”, are heeding the call they each find by reading the simple text of the Koran, and when the simple text is expounded, its message becomes clear: that the fastest way to heaven and a glorious reward, is to die while fighting to advance that belief system.

You might ask him which followers of that belief system are held up as role models and examples worthy of emulation, quiet practitioners who spend their days tending the poor and sick, or practitioners who killed many unbelievers by blowing themselves up.

I can never get this story completely out of my head.

Three Schoolgirls Beheaded in Indonesia

Saturday, October 29, 2005

"JAKARTA, Indonesia — Unidentified (Muslim) assailants attacked a group of (Christian) high school girls on Saturday in Indonesia's tense province of Central Sulawesi, beheading three and seriously wounding a fourth, police said."

"He said the heads of the three dead girls were found several miles from their bodies."

...the liberals shouted down the conservative voice, convinced of their own infallible belief in the good of all religions,...

That's pure liberalism. They just can't comprehend the evil, won't even consider that it exists, add political correctness as a weapon to bend reality and we all become Jews on a train.

Evil people do not want evil recognized. It is liberally correct to refrain from discussing evil.

Islam is a religion like any other, worthy of respect.

There needs to be a debate in this country (USA) about exactly what a religion is. It is starting in a sense with those making analogies to religious practices among the practices of the "environmentalists." No one ever considered Nazism a religion, but if Hitler had claimed he took dictation from an angel and made more references to G-d telling him what to do, who would then be able to make real distinctions between Nazism and Islam?

Do any of you ever bother to consider the fact that the vast bulk of the fighting, and dying, on our side in this war is being done BY Muslims?

Yeah but do you ever bother to consider the fact that the vast bulk of them are being killed by Muslims!

This article hits the nail squarely on the head. Unfortunately, the “hate America” leftists in our universities are teaching the exact opposite to their captive students.

Another myth: "The Golden Age of Islam"

This was limited to a single (conquered) country--Spain. It lasted only 50 years, hardly an "age". And most notably, it was marked by tolerance and moderation, and was quickly defeated by normal (radical) Islam within a very short time, bringing Islam back to its normal state of violence, suppression and intolerance to dissent.

Most Muslims don’t believe in violence.

I understand about 10% of the billion or so Muslims are terrorists and 100 million is to many.

“Forgive them for they know not what they do.”

Article excerpt:

“”The young men got guns, bread knives, ropes and towels ready for their final act of service to Allah. They knew there would be a lot of blood. They arrived in time for the Bible study, around 10 o’clock,” the letter said. “Reportedly, after Necati read a chapter from the Bible the assault began. The boys tied Ugur, Necati, and Tilman’s hands and feet to chairs and as they videoed their work on their cellphones, they tortured our brothers for almost three hours.”

The letter included the following graphic details of the torture:

“Tilman was stabbed 156 times, Necati 99 times and Ugur’s stabs were too numerous to count. They were disemboweled, and their intestines sliced up in front of their eyes. They were emasculated and watched as those body parts were destroyed. Fingers were chopped off, their noses and mouths and anuses were sliced open. Possibly the worst part was watching as their brothers were likewise tortured. Finally, their throats were sliced from ear to ear, heads practically decapitated.”

Arabs love to fight. If they weren’t fighting us or the Israelis they would be fighting each other. The fact that they are fighting each other while they are also fighting us isn’t really noteworthy.

But, but liberals are all godless atheists, which must be true, because I read it on FreeRepublic all the time!

I’m wondering how many founders of major religions personally beheaded people.

ROP, yeah.
