She will have to. The congress has the right to question people nominated by the president and confirmed by the senate. I am not quite sure why she is doing this because she has to testify.
Yes, while in the checkout line at the grocery store!!!!!
Lol okay, I will.
Thank you for posting. I was looking for an update on your Dad but there is none yet. Prayers continuing.
because they are asking her question of her time as security advisor, when she wasn’t confirmed by the senate.
Thanks for all you contribute Deb. Will be in contact w/you & rest of “gang” when Ohio gets back from her trip. We are VERY overdue on our get together for Ohio/WV FReepers
What a great pix of the two first ladies... both look so elegant & Laura sure looks a heck of a lot better in a black pant suit than “she who will NOT be president”
Thanks for all the work Eleanor. A great Dose with wonderful pix & information.
I know you are more tired with all the running & concern/stress re: dad. I am glad your good friend has been supportive and helpful to you.
love & hugs & all that good stuff
I thought you might enjoy these pics I stumbled across. ;*)
Vice President Dick Cheney, second from left, looks at Gordon B. Hinckley, president of the Mormon church, upon their arrival on stage for the Brigham Young's commencement Thursday, April 26, 2007, in Provo, Utah.
Vice President Dick Cheney addresses the graduates after receiving an honorary doctorate degree at Brigham Young University, Thursday, April 26, 2007 in Provo, Utah.
When Vice President Cheney was introduced... He received thunderous applause from the 20,000 people at gathered at the university, which is owned by the Mormon church.
The crowd cheered louder for Cheney than they did for church President Gordon B. Hinckley, whom Mormons consider a prophet.
Great photos, Justa! I love the second one.
:0)
Thanks for that when I put the dose up there were not any photos up of the VP - much appreciated you finding them later.
Yeah, isn’t he adorable in that one?!
Update on dad, really none as they decided against the biopsy on the vein in the head. Apparently after much discussion between the surgical, orthapeditic and neurolgical teams the plan is now that the neurologist will see him today.
After he has given his opinion they may still do the biopsy but they do not want to do this intrusive surgery before the neurologist has the opportunity to suggests it maybe something else.
So maybe I will more news later today, if so I will post an update tonight.
Once again I thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and cards.
Love
Eleanor
I think the commencement ended about the time you posted.
Well, I'm off to bed. Have a great day snugs...will look for report on your dad tomorrow.
thanks eleanor, FReepmail
Wow, a lot happened that I didn’t know — the potential biopsy on a vein in your dad’s head for instance. I continue to pray. I am very glad your dad is getting such a thorough diagnostic work up. I pray it results in much better health and lots more strength. I was praying especially for strength and endurance for both of you yesterday.
How interesting that Mrs. Japan wanted to go to George Washington’s home. Good on her.
There are two cities named Granite Falls in Washington State. I didn’t realize this until I saw where the Teacher of the Year hailed from and looked at the map, 6ecause one of the GF cities is in my neck of the woods. (The other is just over the Cascade Mountains).
“After Lady Laura introduced the President, he said, “Thank you, Baby!” and she replied, “Thanks, Darlin’!”

That is just soooooooooooooooooooo precious — is there any wonder why we love these two so?!
