God makes you the way you are, people should deal with it. This isn't the same as curing a disability, this is a mental disorder that can be dealt with. This Dr. Moreau garbage is ridiculous.

AMEN! The sportsbabes at ESPN are the worst! The only ones worth a damn are Robin Roberts, Shelly Smith and Simpson (I forget her first name, she’s the sister of ex NHLer Craig Simpson). The rest are horrid.
I don’t get it either. A friend of mine is a nurse and says that some people are really screwed up because they are neither male or female, or they are male with many female hormones, and for them it is often a real option. Otherwise, I don’t get it and I never will.

True transsexuality is a birth defect in the brain. There is a study online (http://www.symposion.com/ijt/ijtc0106.htm) that basically shows that men have a large hypothalamus, while women have a small hypothalamus - except in transgenders, where it’s reversed. IOW, part of the brain’s wiring is wrong.
This guy has a birth defect, nothing more, nothing less.

My brother once worked for Digital and some freak there went out and got a sex change operation. When he/she/it returned to work, my brother and the other employees were required to attend a "welcome party" (complete with cake and balloons) for the returning freak.

Homosexuality is a perversion. Transgenderism (which isn't the same as homosexuality) is a BIRTH DEFECT. The two do not equal.
We are all perfectly accepting of a birth defect that results in a person being born with a deformed limb, or a disfigured face. Why is it so hard to imagine a person being born with part of their brain wired incorrectly?
